Renae Craven

As a Certified Team Coach (CTC) who's spent over 20 years working in information technology, I like the way scrum gives teams a pattern to ensure feedback is responded to and changes are made as a result. My agile journey started about 15 years ago while I was working as an engineering manager at CSG, where I was responsible for 40 people. Over the past 10 years as an agile trainer, I formalised my coaching skills and have Level 1 in Organisational Coaching through the Institute of Executive Coaching & Leadership (IECL). 
 
Creating learning organisations cannot be done without spending the time to reflect and realise those learnings. An essential principle of agile is that a team reflects on how to become more effective at regular intervals and tunes and adjusts behaviour accordingly. I love coaching organisations through their transformation to an agile mindset and building delivery teams that can self-organise and hold themselves accountable.

Sharing knowledge is important to me. I founded the Women in Agile Brisbane group, and I have my own podcast, The Leaders Playlist. I’m always moving, learning and creating. As well as my passion for pilates, I’ve been teaching myself the guitar for the past year. I’ve progressed to the point that I can ‘jam’ with my husband’s band!

I feel pretty fortunate to live in the sunshine city of Brisbane, working in a role I love.
