Everyone on the Agile team must be treated as an adult. That means empowering them to make decisions and giving them the opportunity to provide feedback and input on how things get done.

Every adult is human. Humans get demotivated. Humans have bad days. Humans lose track of their purpose. Humans get uninspired. The reality is, if we left becoming and staying motivated to the individual employee and offer nothing, you would be left with a disaster. We (humans) need to be inspired and given positive direction and reinforcement; it isn’t just the manager’s or corporation's responsibility. Doing this and doing it right is the difference between good and great.
