Agile in Government

Agile in Government
13 May 2021

Today 'agile' is no longer a buzzword designed only for software development teams. From building spacecraft to manufacturing, some of the largest and most complex organisations in the world are using agile ways of working to deliver better outcomes, respond to change, improve quality, foster more productive and happier teams, and reduce risk. So, how can government agencies adopt this approach to deliver more and better services to their constituents?

This session will help anyone working in the public sector to build the skills needed to support agile ways of working, from policy development through to service design and delivery.

During this hour-long session, you’ll learn about:

  • The need for agility in rapidly changing times
  • An introduction to agile practices, principles and methodologies
  • The agile mindset
  • Misconceptions surrounding agile
  • The benefits of an agile approach
  • Focusing on delivering value to your users
  • Human-centred design
  • Design thinking
  • Reducing waste
  • Accelerating public sector agility.
