Coaching is a specialised skill and crucial to an agile way of working. A culture of coaching changes the way people work together, both within teams and across the organisation. Agile coaching is more than being able to facilitate a retrospective or provide guidance on building a burnup chart. While coaches need to have a deep understanding of the agile values, principles and practices, they also need to understand how knowledge-workers are motivated, how teams form, and how to build a culture of communication, collaboration and efficiency.
