The Agile movement is growing at a rapid pace. But how can it make a real difference to your organisation?

Agile’s emergence as a movement has largely been driven by the need to adapt to today’s fast-changing and customer-driven environment. Agile is an approach which adopts tools and techniques that assist in developing better products. It does this by meeting customer needs through the early and continuous delivery of valuable solutions.

Agility is not about adherence to any specific set of practices or frameworks; it is a mindset, a culture, and a way of thinking, and responding to change in our organisations. No longer just the domain of software development, Agile is now spreading to every kind of organisation and every aspect of work.

We have a practical understanding of all things Agile and we’ve helped numerous organisations in their Agile transformations.  We also boast the largest range of ICAgile courses globally. We’ll help you to build capability so you can deliver solutions to customers faster, cheaper, with less waste, and most importantly, deliver solutions that will delight.

We are an accredited training provider for:

Agile Delivery and Transformations
If you’re looking to undertake an Agile delivery or transformation - or are an Agile team looking to go further, we can help through a comprehensive program of Agile courses, coaching and assessments.  We will work with you to improve upon your existing core project delivery capabilities to help you to bring improved speed to delivery, shift your focus to become more output-led, and to help engage your sponsors for faster decision making.

We have extensive experience supporting large and complex organisations as they adopt Agile practices. This includes working with multinational, distributed project teams and scaling to large multi-site, multi-team implementations.

Agile Assessment and Roadmaps
Using an Agile Fluency Assessment tool, we’ll help you to determine where your team is currently – and where it needs to go to achieve its goals.  While traditional maturity models tend to evaluate and measure activities rather than results, the goal of the Agile Fluency Model is to create the conditions of Agile that best fit your development effort, business need and customer value.

The Agile Fluency path travels through four Agile teams at different levels of maturity. These are:

  • Focus on Value (one star) – see progress from business perspective. Redirect teams when needed.
  • Deliver Value (two star) – ship on market cadence. Capture value frequently. Reveal obstructions early.
  • Optimise Value (three star) – make excellent product decisions. Eliminate hand-offs. Speed decision making.
  • Optimise for Systems (four star) – cross-pollinate perspectives. Stimulate innovation. Optimise value stream.

Every organisation is different, and therefore some may be happy if their final state of Agile maturity (fluency) is ‘deliver value’ (two star), and another organisation may have a lofty goal of achieving a ‘optimise for systems’ (four star) final state.

By understanding where your business is currently at in terms of Agile Fluency and where they wish to be, we can work with you to develop a roadmap to achieve an appropriate level of Agile maturity. Investment can be in tools, recruitment, capability development – anywhere change is required to ensure benefit and value is delivered to the business.

Agile Courses and Training
We have a number of introductory Agile courses available to provide an overview of the roles and responsibilities of team members working on Agile projects, the specific practices used and the concepts behind the Agile approach.  Once you have the foundation skills down pat, our role-specific training covers all roles in an Agile team or organisation.

Our coaching program works in conjunction with our training once you have uncovered the foundation tools and techniques related to Agile.  In our coaching engagements, we will pair one of our highly experienced coaches to work directly with your team to truly embed learning into the culture, projects and practices of your business. For larger teams or organisations this can involve having a coach on site for a day each month to support your Agile transformation.
