Michaela Tyson

Michi is an enthusiastic and dedicated IT Project Manager with experience in small team leadership, team coaching and individual mentoring.

Originally from Austria, and having gained most of her experience in the UK working with organisations such as Philips, Telefonica O2 and Tata Beverage Group, Michi has recently moved to Australia to join Software Education as a trainer and consultant, focussing on the delivery of Agile and IT Management courses.

During her 8 years as a Project Manager and Scrum Master, Michi has been able to work on a wide variety of projects spanning an array of different industries, from EU-funded Social Sector Programmes to International Telecommunications and Retail Groups. Her experience ranges from delivering two-person platform configuration projects and proprietary applications to international web development and rollout programmes. As a trainer, coach and mentor, Michi has worked with people from a variety of cultural and specialisation backgrounds, from delivery team members to project sponsors and sales and marketing departments. 

Michi has a strong passion for people and organisational excellence. She applies her effervescent nature and can-do attitude as well as her experience in Agile and Waterfall projects, Programme and Release Management, Iteration Management, Agile Business Adoption Consultancy and her in-depth understanding of coaching and mentoring project teams to her work.

Michi is a certified Prince 2 Practitioner as well as a Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO). When she is not training or travelling, Michi enjoys cooking and spending time with her partner and their mini-petting zoo.
