Software Education career pathways offer suggested programmes of training for your and your organisation's professional development in Business Analysis, Software Testing, Agile, IT Management, System Design and Programming. Speciality courses can be taken in any order as may be required for business and/or personal development.
No other training provider in the southern hemisphere offers so many options.
Business Analysis
Take control of your Business Analyst career: The most popular course of its type in Australasia, Business Systems Analysis provides a solid and practical foundation in Business Analysis. From this foundation you can progress to a range of training options - Business Analysis, requirements, modelling and even facilitation skills - whatever your career needs. Advanced training is also available, for both professional and personal development. We offer most of these courses publicly and all are available on an in-house basis. Software Education is an IIBA™ Endorsed Education Provider and courses are specifically endorsed where appropriate. |
Software Testing
Take control of your Software Testing career: Whether you're looking for a sequence of courses to prepare you for ISTQB certification at foundation or advanced levels, or a specific focus such as Agile Testing, Test Automation or Web Testing, you'll find the course to suit in our range of Software Testing courses. Whether or not you're seeking certification, we offer career Testers lots of options including MasterClasses with internationally respected experts such as James Bach. Also, we can customise any of our Software Testing courses to meet your specific training need. This is a cost-effective option for groups of six or more: you get the training you want, where and when you want it. |
Agile
Take control of your Agile career: We've worked closely with the Agile Academy to develop a comprehensive Agile curriculum. Covering so much more than just “Scrum” or “Lean” approaches, these courses are ideal for the Agile curious right through to the seasoned Agilista. What's more, Software Education is an accredited training provider for the International Consortium for Agile (ICAgile). The Agile Fundamentals course is an ICAgile accredited course where participants can become Certified ICAgile Professionals. There are also courses designed for business professionals and IT management such as Taste of Agile and Agile for Executives (course available in 2013), enabling organisational understanding from the outset. And because Agile software development requires quite a cultural shift for most organisations, you can get Agile coaching and support from us - delivered by Agile experts with practical experience implementing Agile methodologies and helping our customers overcome many of the challenges associated with major organisational change. In-house options are available for the Agile range of courses. |
IT Management
Take control of your IT Management career and skills: When you take on team leadership roles, project management roles, get involved in managing change or become a "Manager" there are a number of practical courses you can take to help strengthen your position and skills. You can choose from Leadership courses (such as Small Team Leadership and Facilitation Skills Workshop), Project Management courses (such as Software Project Management or Agile Project Management) or Agile courses (such as Taste of Agile and Agile Facilitation). These courses help expand "techies" management abilities, as well as helping non-IT professionals better interact with development professionals and vice-versa. In-house options abound across the IT Management course set. |

However, from time to time you'll also have a need to quickly bring up to speed a tester or two in SQL or database programming and that's where courses like Introduction to SQL, Introduction to Java or Scripting and SQL for Testers can really work for you.
