Being a Senior Tester
Software Testing Applied is a three day interactive, flexible course which is designed to cater for the needs of testers moving into a senior tester or test lead role. The modules in the course cover the real world application of critical systems analysis, test planning, metrics analysis, communication and leadership skills. It also covers the application of advanced test implementation and execution skills considering the advanced application of test design techniques to maximise your effectiveness and efficiency.
The course is designed to be flexible and to focus on the needs of the participants rather than follow a specific flow or structure. All of the modules are available but not all of the them will be covered or covered in depth, depending on the participants' needs. The first part of the course is for the participants to define the scope and flow of the course to meet their needs emulating the mind set and approaches that need to be considered in planning any work activity as a senior tester.
The course will empower testers to consider their career aspirations beyond test execution, leading towards the achievement of the ISTQB Advanced level certifications (Test Management, Test Analysis and/or Technical Test Analysis). It will allow participants to apply their current knowledge and experience in a different way and begin to bridge the gap between the ISTQB Foundation and ISTQB Advanced syllabi knowledge. It will also provide a new thinking framework and techniques that can make the difference to how your experiences can be applied for greater benefit.
